"My experience with Mr. Matthew Miller, a lawyer at Mid-South Surrogacy/Batson Nolan Attorneys was a wonderful experience. I first went to Matt looking for intended parents to start my surrogacy journey in 2009. My first surrogacy was a gestational. Matt represented me and made sure that I understood everything that was going on. We went over every line of the contract in detail and if I didn't understand he made sure to explain it clearly (what that meant in layman's terms contracts are very wordy and sometimes lengthy). He always had my best interest at heart, and always protected my rights.
Mr. Miller had personal experience to use as a reference, which made him very knowledgeable about surrogacy. He was able to meet me at my convenience for all paperwork. "We found Attorney Matt Miller’s firm by searching on the internet. Aren’t we glad that we did! Matt has provided excellent service through the entire surrogacy process and he exceeded our expectations.
Matt is very knowledgeable on the surrogacy process and he knows even the very minute details. That’s what he drafted in our surrogacy agreement for us – the intended parents. Matt drafted a 50-page agreement that covered all different possible scenarios that would normally go right and could possibly go wrong as well. His exceptional service didn’t stop at that point – he provided enough time for us to read through and scheduled a 2-hr meeting to go over the agreement again. During that meeting, Matt Miller read through & explained each & every line and clause on the 50-page surrogacy agreement; he answered all our questions and was very much willing to make changes per our discussion.
After making changes, he promptly sent us the updated version and clearly indicated where the updates have taken places so that we can proof read it again. He kept us updated throughout the signing process, filing with county and state courts/agencies. As soon as he received the court order regarding the finalized petition, he mailed the copy to the hospital where the delivery was going to happen and to all the involved parties. Also, Matt explained all the future steps and the procedures we needed to follow around delivery time.
Overall we are very pleased with work by Matt Miller and his paralegal and his office. The whole process, which was more than 16-months long from the start to post-delivery, was very smooth and that is only because Matt Miller did a very precise job. Though out this long 16-months’ time, he made himself available for answering any of our questions; he promptly responded back to emails and voicemails; he followed up any with us and the organizations such county, state and the hospital.
We felt very comfortable working with Matt and we did not have to concerned about not knowing the legal & technical terms that were mentioned in the surrogacy agreement because he made us feel comfortable & ease."
